01The Brief

A 110-key heritage conversion in Vieux-Montréal. Lobby and brasserie required acoustic treatment that read as soft furnishing rather than ceiling system.

02Acoustic Challenge

Stone-and-timber heritage envelope reflected energy aggressively. Brasserie service noise pushed 78 dBA; lobby reverberation ran 1.9s.

03TRI-STATE ACOUSTICS's Solution

Custom-coloured PET felt panels, hand-cropped into a pattern matching the original tin-tile ceiling rhythm. Two felt depths for absorption variability.

04Outcome

Brasserie ambient acoustic dropped 9 dBA at peak service. Lobby RT60 of 0.8s, within brief and visually consistent with the heritage envelope.
