01The Brief
A 64-key boutique hotel near Greenwich Harbor. The double-height lobby and restaurant called for an uninterrupted ceiling: no grids, no joints, nothing that read as a system.
02Acoustic Challenge
Lobby reverberation measured 2.4s under the original hard plaster, and the landmark facade approval left no room to drop the slab or break the curved soffit.
03TRI-STATE ACOUSTICS's Solution
Spray-applied acoustic plaster, 14mm, over a high-perforation mineral substrate, coved into the existing soffit with a hand-finished feathered edge.
04Outcome
RT60 dropped to 1.2s, well inside the target for restaurant-class rooms, and the finish is visually indistinguishable from smooth plaster.
