01The Brief

A 320-trader open-floor capital markets desk above an existing concrete podium. Ceiling brief targeted concentration under continuous voice traffic.

02Acoustic Challenge

Continuous trader voice at 65 dBA across the floor created 0.9s reverberation pre-treatment, with NRC requirement of ≥ 0.85 across full open area.

03TRI-STATE ACOUSTICS's Solution

Spray-applied acoustic plaster across 80% of the soffit; concealed baffle field above the central trading core providing additional low-frequency absorption.

04Outcome

RT60 measured 0.41s, NRC 0.92, both ahead of brief. Trader satisfaction +18 points in 6-month POE.
